Danvers Parents of Music Education
The Danvers Parents for Music Education (PME) is an organization of parents supporting the Danvers High School music program through volunteerism and fundraising. Our activities reflect our official mission statement:
To support and promote the growth and development of music in the Danvers school system. To build and maintain an organization of parents and other interested adults which will help to promote the general activities of the Music Department.
What activities do PME volunteers participate in?
Volunteers are always needed to assist in many activities, such as chaperones for parades, football games, and other musical events, fit students for uniforms, cook or set-up at the band camp cookouts, and supervise car washes. All volunteers are encouraged to assist in any way possible with the many fundraising efforts that take place throughout the year.
How can you help?
Everyone is welcome! Joining is a great way to support your child's music education. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month, 7:00-8:30pm in the DHS band room. Check the Band Calendar for exact dates. To be included on our mailing contact list, please send an email to DanversPME@yahoo.com.
How is the PME organized?
The PME is managed by an executive board of ten volunteer officers (listed below). The board works with high school Band Director Ronald Parsons and Choral Director Matthew Haynes to determine how to best utilize the resources of the PME and coordinate their efforts.
